Apple’s SkillBridge Fellowship Program offers transitioning service members a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic, corporate environment during their final six months of military service. Through this full-time fellowship, participants gain exposure to the rhythm and culture at Apple, while building professional relationships, refining their civilian workplace skills, and contributing to impactful projects in a supportive setting.Fellows are embedded within teams and given access to training and networking opportunities designed to help them navigate the transition from military to civilian careers with confidence. The program is structured to offer a meaningful, real-world experience that complements their military background and prepares them for future career success in the private sector.
ABOUT THE JOB
Job Title: Product Security AI Engineer (TG3)Job Description: You'll be part of the Security Engineering & Architecture (SEAR) org in SWE, where Product Security and Interlinked have a broad scope that blends operating system security vulnerability management with applied AI tooling for all of Apple. We’re particularly interested in optimizing some of our critical workflows — analyzing security vulnerability reports about Apple products, ensuring they’re comprehensively assessed, fixed, and credited to external security researchers. We're a small team of passionate engineers who thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by unique challenges and bleeding edge development that scales beyond what traditional automation can do.Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent practical experience. Experience in front-line security analysis, incident response, vulnerability management, or a similar security operations role. Curiosity about or foundational knowledge of Apple-specific security technologies, architectures, and common attack techniques. Experience with one or more general-purpose programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Swift).Preferred QualificationsAble to triage and analyze security issues across Apple platformsAnalyzes issues and able to pivot off available data to discover new and closely related security vulnerabilitiesProvides security design consulting to other teamsCommands some scripting skills (e.g. Python) to automate tasks, compute metrics, and explore use of workflows combining ML and human inputsSelf-starter, able to handle ambiguity, identify risks, troubleshoot, and find the right people and tools to get the job doneCapacity to manage multiple projects in parallel while meeting deadlinesClear and effective communicatorHighly familiar with common AI capabilities, such as Function Calling and RAG.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in front-line security analysis, incident response, vulnerability management, or a similar security operations role
