The Office of the Circuit Defender: Waycross provides legal counsel and representation to indigent individuals charged with criminal offenses in the Waycross Judicial Circuit.
ABOUT THE JOB
Administrative Staff: Duties include but are not limited to: Provide support to attorneys; Assist in file management; Direct phone calls and incoming information; complete courthouse tasks.Investigator: Duties include but are not limited to: complete and process new applications for services; Interview witnesses and gather evidence; Serve subpoenas; Attend court proceedings. Attorney (Legal): Duties include but are not limited to completing legal research assignments for attorneys, preparing for court, attending court weekly, gathering evidence for contested proceedings, meeting with clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
