FTI Information Systems Security Engineer
Job DescriptionSupport updates and upgrades to program systems and networks to address obsolescence, vulnerabilities, technology insertion/demonstration, expansion, or system resiliency.Ensure the appropriate operational network posture is maintained.Assess communications systems and the relationship with Information Assurance,Cryptographic Systems, Data Processing, Storage Systems, Voice and Video systems, and emerging Cloud Services.Critical skills include architecture/requirements definition/analysis, engineering/design, fielding/integration, and test/turnover.Maintain applications/protocols: Internet Protocol (IP), Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).Knowledge of and experience managing containerized machines, i.e. Docker containers.Maintain configurations using SIMP and Puppet/puppet agents.Install, maintain, audit, and support a secure Red Hat and other Linux network environment(s) and limited web/data application service
ABOUT THE JOB
RequirementsTop Secret clearance required; SCI highly desired.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field is desired. 2+ years’ experience planning, designing, developing, integrating, testing and/or deploying secure information technology.2+ years’ network systems experience.VMWare, Red Hat Linux administration, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) experience. IAT Level 3Strong technical background in communication, network protocols, and network management.Understanding of OSI Model, with emphasis on Physical, Data Link, Network, Transport and Session layers.Knowledge of network design (e.g. LAN/WAN, routing protocols, routers) and protocols (e.g., IPv4, BGP, MPLS , VPN, IPSec, DNS) , Multicast routingLayer 2 equipment, protocol and technology (switches, LACP, STP, VLANs)Preferred - working knowledge of Department of Defense mission, activities and termsDemonstrated ability to interact effectively with members of a diverse military and civilian teamExperience with Ansible Tool is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain applications/protocols including IP, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and SSL.
- Install, maintain, audit, and support a secure Red Hat and other Linux network environment(s) and limited web/data application service.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Top Secret clearance required; SCI highly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field is desired.
- 2+ years’ experience planning, designing, developing, integrating, testing and/or deploying secure information technology.
- 2+ years’ network systems experience.
- VMWare, Red Hat Linux administration, and LDAP experience.
