A project engineer is generally involved in and largely responsible for the assisting of the project managers with daily tasks, take-offs, coordination and general office duties. This is a salaried position requiring daily attendance and approximately a 40-45 hour work week which is subject to vary based on workload of the company.

ABOUT THE JOB

Project Engineer duties & responsibilities:• Assist with the bidding process, making phone calls, monitoring emails, etc. • Plan distribution - Tracking of plans in/out. • Perform quantity take-offs and material pricing.• Assist in review of shop drawings and material samples and track accordingly. Perform field measurements as needed for shop drawings. • Create and track subcontracts and material purchase orders based on PM’s scope sheet checklists.• Post ASI’s and other changes to drawings as needed.• Attend progress meetings with PM’s, take meeting minutes and follow-up accordingly. • Work with Project Coordinator to create and distribute Change Requests and Change Orders in PJ per PM’s notes and direction. • Submittal Exchange support for PM’s.• Material procurement – tracking of all orders and deliveries. • Communicate with owners, architects, engineers and others who are involved in the construction process as necessary. • Manage and track back charges and additional work forms.• Manage job closeout including punch list, O&M’s and other closeout documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed OHSA 10 hour course helpful

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY

Completed OHSA 10/30 hour course preferred but not required
