Partnership and Engagement Specialist / Office of Partnership and Engagement / DHS
Assist in research, evaluations, prioritization, and recommends solutions to problems issues encountered in intergovernmental affairs. Provides support to a variety of Partnership and Engagement activities, relating to administrative, research and analytical duties and a variety to liaison activities and special assignments related to the mission and functions of the office. Assists in developing and maintaining ongoing effective contact with SLTT officials and their staffs. Responds to administrative and programmatic problems brought to the attention of the supervisor and relieves the supervisor of interruptions and demands on his/her time by independently handling matters or coordinating with the appropriate individual(s). Drafts correspondence and DHS legislative documents and related material along with printed media foroutside distribution. Works with Partnership and Engagement staff on strategizing, designing and implementing advocacy efforts in support of projects and initiatives. Assists in coordinating actions, which may require review and analysis of legislation, and regulatory actions that may affect SLTT offices and transmit information to SLTT officials and their staffs as appropriate. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Drafts briefings and reports; responses to queries; and drafts background papers.

- Responds to administrative and programmatic problems brought to the attention of the supervisor, independently handling matters or coordinating with the appropriate individual(s).
- Drafts correspondence, DHS legislative documents, and related material along with printed media for outside distribution.
- Works with Partnership and Engagement staff on strategizing, designing, and implementing advocacy efforts in support of projects and initiatives.
- Assists in coordinating actions, which may require review and analysis of legislation, and regulatory actions that may affect SLTT offices and transmit information to SLTT officials and their staffs as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to research, evaluate, prioritize, and recommend solutions to problems.
- Capability to provide support in various administrative, research, and analytical tasks.
- Skills in developing and maintaining contact with officials and their staffs.
- Proficiency in drafting various official documents and correspondence.
- Experience in coordinating and strategizing advocacy efforts and projects.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
Basic pre-employment investigative background check may be required.
