As a Program Manager trainee, you will work directly with the CEO and leadership team to support day-to-day operations, strategic planning, marketing initiatives, and customer service programs.This hands-on role provides exposure to small business management, team leadership, and client-facing operations in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Trainees will engage in structured learning modules covering project coordination, scheduling, vendor management, digital marketing, and quality control—all tailored to the real-world workflow of a growing barbershop brand.Ideal candidates are motivated, professional, and ready to apply their leadership experience to a fast-paced business setting. Upon completion, participants will be equipped with the foundational skills to lead teams, manage projects, and explore future opportunities in small business ownership or operational leadership.

ABOUT THE JOB

BCJXCUTZ Barbershop LLC is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Program Manager trainee through the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in managing the daily operations and strategic initiatives of a growing barbershop business. The trainee will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to plan, coordinate, and oversee projects that support business growth, client satisfaction, marketing, and operational excellence.

The program is designed to provide practical, real-world experience that directly translates to post-military roles in both the service and retail industries.High-performing participants may be considered for employment opportunities or extended mentorship roles within BCJXCUTZ Barbershop LLC or affiliated ventures. While there is no guarantee of employment, participants will receive career development support, including resume reviews and a letter of recommendation upon successful completion.The work schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional flexibility for weekend events, special projects, or marketing campaigns. The primary work environment is in-person at the barbershop’s main location, offering firsthand experience with customer service operations and business management. Some administrative or marketing work may be conducted remotely.No uniforms are required, though branded BCJXCUTZ apparel may be provided for certain assignments or public-facing events. Business casual dress is recommended unless otherwise specified.Free onsite parking is available, and the location is accessible via public transportation. No travel is required outside the immediate area unless specified for special events.Trainees will have opportunities to network with local entrepreneurs, attend community events, and gain exposure to branding and business development strategies. Tools and technology used during training may include Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), Canva for design work, Asana or Trello for task management, and social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.Participants will complete a capstone project to demonstrate their applied skills and may use their work to build a professional portfolio. Additional perks include one-on-one mentorship with the CEO, personalized career coaching, and support for transition into the civilian workforce.
