Spot AI is seeking a motivated NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineering Program Manager to drive the launch of new hardware and software products. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with 0–4 years of experience, including recent military officers eager to apply their operational planning, leadership, and risk management skills in a fast-paced technology environment.Key Responsibilities • Lead and coordinate the full lifecycle of new product introduction, from concept through market launch, using proven operational planning and execution skills. • Manage cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to ensure all resources are aligned and project objectives are met. • Develop detailed project plans, manage schedules, and proactively identify operational risks, drawing on your experience with mission planning and resource allocation. • Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear updates and rapid problem-solving. • Oversee prototype builds, validation, and testing, ensuring quality and timely delivery. • Apply risk assessment and mitigation strategies, leveraging your background in operational risk management. • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in NPI operations.Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Operations, or a related technical field. • 0–4 years of relevant experience, including military leadership roles with operational planning and execution responsibilities. • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage resources, and make decisions under pressure-skills honed through military operations and command. • Strong organizational and time management skills; adept at handling multiple priorities in dynamic environments. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. • Analytical mindset with a track record of problem-solving in complex, high-stakes settings.Preferred Qualifications • Experience in hardware or software product development, or in operational roles within technology or manufacturing. • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools. • Exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, or quality assurance processes. • Knowledge of NPI best practices and lifecycle management.Why This Role is a Fit for Junior Military OfficersYour experience in leading teams, developing and executing operational plans, managing resources, and adapting to rapidly changing situations directly translates to the core functions of this program management role.
