Program OverviewThis three-month SkillBridge experience serves as a core project team member supporting the launch of two new learning initiatives to the campus community. Under close guidance from the team lead, the participant will play a pivotal role in the setup, structure, and early implementation of enterprise learning systems, contributing to foundational configuration, content organization, documentation, and project coordination. The experience is intentionally structured to provide hands-on exposure to system implementation and project delivery while maintaining a strong emphasis on training, mentorship, and skill development.
Month 1: Platform Foundations & Project AwarenessPrimary Focus: Rapid immersion in LinkedIn Learning and introduction to project structureThe participant will learn to:Understand the role of Learning & Leadership Development within HRNavigate LinkedIn Learning from an administrative perspectiveUnderstand how learning content is curated, reviewed, and governedGain awareness of how learning initiatives are planned, tracked, and communicateLearn basic project management concepts (timelines, milestones, roles, dependencies)The participant will assist with:Creating and updating LinkedIn Learning collections and campaignsDrafting titles, descriptions, and supporting copyCoordinating content review with subject matter experts under supervisionBeginning documentation of LinkedIn Learning standards and workflowsSupporting project tracking activities, such as maintaining task lists, timelines, or status trackersPreparing draft updates or notes for internal project check-ins or meetingsMonth 2: Advanced Content Work, LMS Exposure & Project CoordinationPrimary Focus: Content refinement, LMS exposure, and active project supportThe participant will learn to:Apply LinkedIn Learning content standards consistently and independentlyUnderstand the structure and purpose of the Cornerstone LMSLearn the distinction between Cornerstone’s learning and performance modulesRecognize how documentation, testing, and coordination support project deliveryObserve how scope, timelines, and priorities are adjusted during active initiativesThe participant will assist with:Ongoing LinkedIn Learning content curation, refinement, and cleanupUpdating LinkedIn Learning documentation and standardsObserving Cornerstone configuration, testing, and readiness activitiesBeginning documentation of Cornerstone learning module processesSupporting project coordination, including tracking action items, risks, and dependenciesAssisting with meeting preparation, notes, and follow-up actionsSupporting communication drafts related to project milestones or readiness updatesMonth 3: Documentation, Testing, Knowledge Transfer & TransitionPrimary Focus: System readiness, documentation, and project wrap-up supportThe participant will learn to:Understand how access, permissions, and testing contribute to platform readinessObserve collaboration between functional, technical, and vendor partnersGain awareness of integrated learning and performance workflowsUnderstand how project documentation supports sustainability and handoffTranslate technical and project coordination experience into civilian workplace skillsThe participant will assist with:Supporting testing activities and documenting findingsContinuing Cornerstone learning and performance module documentationSupporting early planning discussions related to LinkedIn Learning and Cornerstone integrationSupporting Change management, knowledge transfer and transition planningPreparing professional development artifacts (e.g., resume inputs, skills summaries)
