Amentum
Amentum is seeking a talented and driven Archivist to support contract efforts in Springfield, VA.The successful candidate will assist the library/archives staff in providing support in the areas of record maintenance, literature research, the cataloging of records, documents and electronic media, preparation of materials for long-term preservation and research declassification, and storage. The position will also assist in identifying and locating needed Personnel Recovery (PR) information and materials for customers accessing the library and archives.
ABOUT THE JOB
Main Responsibilities Assist users in identifying, locating, and utilizing needed materials and information.Prepare print media and audio-visual media archive materials for digital conversion and develop and use catalog databases for the archival collection.Insure preservation of original documents and audiovisual materials.Review digitally archived materials for accuracy and accessibility.Store all records, documents and electronic media according to DOD standards.Organize materials in a manner that they can be easily identified and promptly retrieved.Operate and maintain in-house database management systems.Identify, collect, and display mission-related memorabilia and documents.Assist in document discovery for FOIA requests.Maintained liaison with other DoD information repositories, particularly those with PR-related materials.Assist with library maintenance duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a current Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Must have 2+ years of archival experience
- Excellent PC skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Word/PPT/Excel).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to initiate in carrying out recurring assignments independently.
- Some travel is required.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Requirements Must have a current Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TS/SCI.Must have 2+ years of archival experienceExcellent PC skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Word/PPT/Excel).Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.Ability to initiate in carrying out recurring assignments independently.Some travel is required.
