The AllegiantVETS SkillBridge Program provides active-duty service members and military spouses with direct access to high-demand civilian career training, professional development, and employment support during their final 180 days of service.As an approved Department of Defense SkillBridge provider, AllegiantVETS offers highly structured, live-led training, real-world skill development, industry-aligned coursework, and personalized career placement assistance. Our program enables participants to either translate their military experience into competitive civilian roles or reskill into an entirely new career field.The AllegiantVETS Project Management SkillBridge track equips active-duty service members and military spouses with the skills, tools, and real-world experience needed to transition confidently into civilian project management roles.As an approved Department of Defense SkillBridge provider, AllegiantVETS delivers a structured 12–26 week curriculum combining daily live-led instruction, guided Coursera coursework, applied learning projects, and professional development. The program is designed to translate military planning, problem-solving, and leadership experience into competitive civilian PM skillsets.Participants gain proficiency in project planning, workflow design, process optimization, communication strategies, risk management, task coordination, Agile methodologies, and digital PM tools. AllegiantVETS also provides résumé translation, LinkedIn optimization, interview coaching, and job matching through AV Connect and our national employer partner network.Service members maintain full military pay and benefits while participating, with command approval required. AllegiantVETS’ mission is to empower each participant to transition smoothly into a career-aligned civilian project management role upon completion.
Participants in the AllegiantVETS Project Management SkillBridge track will receive hands-on preparation for roles such as Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or Program Support Specialist within a wide range of industries. During the program, service members learn how to plan, organize, and execute projects from initiation through completion. They will practice building project schedules, defining requirements, coordinating team members, managing risks, and tracking deliverables using modern project management frameworks.The role of a project management professional is highly collaborative and relies heavily on communication, organization, and problem-solving. Throughout the training, participants will learn to facilitate effective meetings, work with cross-functional teams, update stakeholders on progress, adjust workflows when challenges arise, and ensure that project objectives align with business goals. They will gain experience working with common project management tools such as Asana, Trello, Jira, Monday.com, or Smartsheet, and will develop the ability to support both Agile and traditional project environments.The program is designed to help service members translate their military leadership, mission planning, and operational experience into civilian project management responsibilities. By the end of training, participants will be capable of supporting or leading projects, improving organizational processes, coordinating timelines and resources, and contributing directly to a company’s operational success. They will also complete a practical capstone project that showcases their ability to manage tasks, document project requirements, communicate effectively, and deliver outcomes—providing a real example they can present to future employers.
