Helicopter Pilot Training Instructor
ABOUT THE JOB
Responsible for delivering academic ground instruction and simulator training to customers for visual and instrument flight.Coordinate and participate in development of flight/ground training courseware.Responsible for following flight safety and practice area procedures along with interfacing with maintenance facility group to ensure aircraft are adequately prepared for flight.Compliance with all applicable Aviation Authority requirementsMay travel domestically or internationally as required by the customer.May work shifts outside of 8am-5pm schedule as required by the business demand.Provide subject matter expertise during sales / marketing flights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivering academic ground instruction and simulator training to customers for visual and instrument flight.
- Coordinating and participating in development of flight/ground training courseware.
- Following flight safety and practice area procedures.
- Interfacing with maintenance facility group to ensure aircraft are adequately prepared for flight.
- Compliance with all applicable Aviation Authority requirements.
- Traveling domestically or internationally as required by the customer.
- Working shifts outside of 8am-5pm schedule as required by the business demand.
- Providing subject matter expertise during sales / marketing flights.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of Helicopter Aviation experience
- Commercial Rotorcraft license
- CFI/CFII (AGI for ground instructors)
- At least 1000 hours total time in helicopters
- At least 500 hours as instructor pilot
- No revocation of any pilot’s license by the FAA or regulatory agencies.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to meet department objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, attention to detail, and goal oriented
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Microsoft Office: Excel and MS Projects
- Bachelors degree (preferred)
- ATP - Rotorcraft (preferred)
- NVG (preferred)
- 500 hours of instrument experience (preferred)
- High familiarity of Bell products - certifications/qualifications received for Bell model aircraft is a plus
- Bilingual or Multilingual (preferred)
- Prior experience instructing for other Civil Aviation Authorities (preferred)
- Prior experience completing FAA/EASA audits (preferred)
