Safran Federal Systems (SFS) is proud to offer a Tailorable SkillBridge Rotational Development Program designed for transitioning service members who want to apply their leadership, hands-on experience, and mission-focused mindset within the aerospace and defense industry.Unlike traditional programs, this SkillBridge opportunity allows us to customize rotation tracks based on the candidate’s background, skill set, and career goals while aligning with evolving business priorities. Participants may rotate through several functional areas, including Sales, Business Development & Strategy, Operations, Product Lifecycle Management, Engineering, and Applications Engineering.This model supports both Leadership-oriented candidates seeking broad exposure across the organization, as well as Technical SMEs with hands-on experience using technologies similar to those delivered by SFS.Throughout the program, participants receive mentorship, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain direct exposure to civilian corporate functions, helping them translate their military experience into future career opportunities.
Our Technology: Safran Federal Systems provides Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions and custom engineering services to U.S. Government agencies, defense organizations and their contractors. Safran Federal Systems is authorized to work on the full spectrum of U.S. Government classified and unclassified projects, in addition to supporting strategic partnerships for key defense PNT technologies.How You will Contribute: Participants will complete several rotations tailored to their experience and interests. Examples of responsibilities by track include:Sales Rotation• Assist with customer engagement, quoting, order management, and CRM workflows.• Learn how customer requirements translate into solutions, proposals, and product deliveries.• Gain foundational experience in account management and the sales lifecycle.• Strengthen your ability to communicate technical and operational concepts to civilian customers.Business Development & Strategy Rotation• Support market research, competitive analyses, and opportunity assessments• Help develop capability briefs, strategic engagement plans, and proposal inputs.• Work with leadership on evaluating partnership opportunities and long-range (3–5 year) strategic initiatives.• Apply your mission-focused background to corporate strategy and business growth planning.Operations Rotation• Participate in production planning, supply chain coordination, and workflow optimization.• Gain exposure to program execution, quality processes, and operational performance metrics.• Translate military operational experience into process improvement and organizational efficiency.Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Rotation• Support product documentation, configuration control, and change management processes.• Learn how engineering, operations, and customer requirements connect through PLM systems.• Assist with lifecycle planning to ensure product alignment with customer and market needs.Engineering Rotation• Contribute to product development, testing, technical documentation, and design reviews.• Engage in problem-solving, quality improvement activities, and cross-functional engineering efforts.• Learn how engineering decisions impact operations, sales, and customer use cases.
