This 24-week SkillBridge internship provides comprehensive Program Management training relating to Bunker Supply’s rapid product development and commercialization capabilities, designed to accelerate ideas to market. The internship focuses on developing the skill set necessary to plan, coordinate, and manage product development and acquisition lifecycles for defense-related projects. Interns will gain experience in stakeholder communication, contracting procedures, testing coordination, and transitioning prototypes into Programs of Record.
This internship trains service members in managing cross-functional defense innovation projects. It covers developing Statements of Work (SOWs), managing project timelines, budgeting, TRL tracking, stakeholder engagement, and understanding acquisition documentation. The intern will learn to bridge warfighter needs with rapid product development through hands-on exposure with task orders and end-user feedback cycles.
Eligible candidates for this position should demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, and solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ideal applicants are proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Candidates should possess a willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and engage with stakeholders across varying levels of technical and operational backgrounds. A foundational understanding of project or program management concepts is beneficial, though not required, as long as the candidate brings a disciplined work ethic and a commitment to developing these skills throughout the internship.
