Job Summary:The HVAC Apprentice assists experienced technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position provides hands-on training and technical experience in residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC work. The apprentice will learn to read blueprints, use diagnostic tools, and follow safety and building code standards while developing the skills necessary to become a licensed HVAC technician.Key Responsibilities:Assist HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and components.Learn to diagnose issues and perform basic troubleshooting on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.Carry tools, materials, and equipment to job sites and maintain a clean, safe workspace.Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork, piping, and fittings under supervision.Learn to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.Communicate effectively with team members and customers.Participate in ongoing training and coursework related to HVAC systems and codes.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred).Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.Good communication and teamwork skills.Must pass background check and drug screening.Benefits (if applicable):On-the-job training and mentorship.Opportunity for advancement and certification.

Job Title: Residential HVAC ApprenticeThe Residential HVAC Apprentice works under the supervision of licensed technicians to learn the skills necessary for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential homes. This hands-on apprenticeship provides training in system installation, diagnostics, customer service, and safety practices while preparing the apprentice for a career as a certified HVAC technician.Key Responsibilities:Assist HVAC technicians with the installation, service, and repair of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.Learn to inspect, test, and troubleshoot HVAC components such as thermostats, wiring, ductwork, and refrigerant systems.Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork and fittings under supervision.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at job sites and in company vehicles.Support technicians in loading and unloading materials and equipment.Learn to communicate effectively and professionally with homeowners.Follow company safety procedures and comply with all OSHA and EPA regulations.Participate in on-the-job and classroom training to build technical knowledge and practical skills.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required (technical or trade school preferred).Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn the HVAC trade.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces, attics, and crawl spaces.Positive attitude, punctuality, and willingness to follow direction.Must pass a background check and drug screening.Benefits Once offered a full time position upon completion of DOD Skills Bridge Program:Paid on-the-job training and mentorshipOpportunity to earn HVAC certifications and licensesCompetitive pay with potential for advancementHealth, dental, and retirement benefits Stable, year-round work in a growing trade
