Divergent Technologies is proud to offer a DoD SkillBridge internship for transitioning service members in the role of Maintenance & Service Manager Intern. This program provides a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in production/manufacturing environment. The work group (Maintenance and Service Team) exists to ensure operational reliability and efficiency of all advanced manufacturing equipment — including additive manufacturing machines, CNC systems, and robotics — within Divergent’s aerospace production facility. Their purpose is to minimize downtime, maintain safety compliance, and support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:1. Leadership and Management:- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and service personnel.- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for additive manufacturing machines, CNC machines, and robotic systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production.- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.2. Maintenance Oversight:- Plan, coordinate, and manage all maintenance activities for machinery and equipment, specifically focusing on advanced manufacturing technologies.- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on additive manufacturing machines, CNC machines, and large robots to identify potential issues before they affect production.- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime.3. Budget Management:- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring all activities related to the upkeep of advanced manufacturing equipment are cost-effective.- Monitor and control expenses associated with maintenance and repairs.4. Compliance and Safety:- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, FAA).- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs related to all machinery.5. Collaboration and Communication:- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless operations across all manufacturing processes.- Provide technical support and guidance to staff and stakeholders concerning advanced manufacturing technologies.6. Continuous Improvement:- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in maintenance management specific to additive manufacturing and CNC machining.- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to enhance maintenance practices and equipment efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:Minimum of 5 years in maintenance management within an aerospace or advanced manufacturing environment.Expertise in additive manufacturing, CNC machining, and robotic systems. Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Strong understanding of maintenance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, OEE). Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and lead technical teams. Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with aerospace regulatory standards and safety systems. Other Requirements: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
