Our SkillBridge Program is intended to prepare applicants for employment as an 0856 Electronics Technician supporting various ground-based and airborne nuclear treaty monitoring sensors. The applicant will gain hands-on experience with one of AFLCMC/HNCBs maintenance shops and upon completion, the applicant will be able to perform general maintenance and production duties on specialized mission equipment used by the Department of the Air Force.
As a Technical Applications Electronics Technician, you will be sustaining material samplers of the US Atomic Energy Detection System, or USAEDS. USAEDS is the largest sensor network in the Air Force, operated by the Air Force Technical Applications Center, to monitor foreign nuclear testing. Responsibilities include working with electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, as well as performing brazing, welding, and soldering tasks. This role requires analytical thinking, keen attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Prior maintenance experience preferred.
