ABOUT THE JOB

Military EMT AcademyAmerican Medical Response is offering a unique opportunity for individuals interested in a rewarding career in pre-hospital medicine. About the Program:The EMT Academy is a rigorous 8–12-week program offered throughout the year which qualifies the employee to take the NREMT exam. There is no cost for the class, and all books, tuition, fees and uniforms will be paid by AMR. Upon successful completion of the class, all tests and state certification, the employee will be supported in their application for an EMT position at AMR.

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

• Complete an 8-12 week EMT Academy program.
• Prepare for and take the NREMT exam.
• Apply for state certification as an EMT.

QUALIFICATIONS✨

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Have all required immunizations.
• Successfully complete the pre-employment screening including motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing, and a physical agility test.
• Be an Active-Duty Service Member within 180 days of EAS with command approval.
