C2360 Fleet Maintenance and Radiological Support Division Health Physicist
The Fleet Maintenance and Radiological Support Division (FMRSD), Code 2360, is part of the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department, Code 2300, Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), Portsmouth, Virginia. The division provides radiological and nuclear maintenance training and engineering support to operational Fleet assets. Further, it develops and maintains Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) corporate radiological and nuclear trade skills training materials used by maintenance activities, Prototypes, Laboratories, and the Fleet.
ABOUT THE JOB
Job Title: Health Physicist, GS-09 through GS-12Job Description: The primary function of this position is to serve as Project Manager for assigned tasks, requiring expert skills as related to planning (writing POA&Ms), scheduling, coordinating, evaluating, and executing projects. Also responsible for planning, developing, evaluating, and revising the following: - procedures to accomplish radioactivity analyses- curriculum in support of six separate Corporate Radiation Health training initiatives***Requires a Cumulative Total of 30 Credit Hours in Higher Math & Science
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as Project Manager for assigned tasks
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, evaluate, and execute projects
- Develop and revise procedures for radioactivity analyses
- Develop and revise curriculum supporting six separate Corporate Radiation Health training initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Cumulative Total of 30 Credit Hours in Higher Math & Science
- US Citizenship
- Ability to gain a Security Clearance
- Pass a background check
- Potentially pass a drug screening
