ABOUT THE JOB

We're seeking a Marine Mechanical Engineer to lead our marine function. The ideal candidate has a background with marine engineering and the ability to handle both hands on engineering work while leading a small team of mechanical engineers. This is a highly important and visible role that will lead the development of technologies that will be used in the deployment, operation and retrieval of our modular hydropower technology, and peripheral systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a mechanical engineering team
  • Manage mechanical vendors
  • Lead the mechanical and subsea systems development
  • Program Reporting
  • Manage multiple programs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have BS or greater in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or similar
  • 7+ years of experience with marine or hydrokinetic systems, components, or technologies
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Comfortable relying on strong first-principles engineering skills
  • Experience using CAD Software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar
  • Proficient with 3D solid modeling with the ability to produce and review mechanical engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with Matlab, LabView, MathCAD or similar applications
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills
  • Practical experience with Finite Element Analysis applications
  • US Citizenship required

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
