All About Dirt and Remodeling, Inc. provides a structured, hands-on construction training opportunity under the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program to support transitioning Service members during their final months of active duty. The position is designed to develop industry-relevant skills that support post-service civilian employment.Duties and Training AreasUnder the supervision of experienced construction professionals, the Construction Trainee will receive on-the-job training that may include:Assisting with site preparation, demolition, and jobsite cleanupSupporting framing, drywall installation, flooring, painting, and finishing workPerforming basic electrical and plumbing support tasks (non-licensed, as permitted)Operating and maintaining hand tools and power tools in accordance with safety standardsAssisting with equipment operation and material handlingReading and interpreting basic blueprints, plans, and work instructionsFollowing OSHA-aligned safety practices and wearing required PPEParticipating in daily safety briefings and jobsite coordination meetingsSupporting project workflow, scheduling, and quality control effortsLearning ObjectivesParticipants will develop practical skills in construction operations, jobsite safety, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving.
