The Machinist is a non-technical degree role which: • Provides a high level of quality, technical experience, and machining experience. • Set ups and operates conventional, special purpose and CNC machines.• Develops specifications and produces parts.• Works under the observation and guidance of a qualified Machinist or Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, operation of conventional, special purpose and CNC machines
• Identify and set up required tooling jobs
• Calculate precise measurements and set controls for accuracy
• Develop specifications and produce parts
• Read, maintain and calibrate precision measuring tools
• Discuss repair order problems with Field Representatives and Customers to determine work order repairs

QUALIFICATIONS

• High level of quality, technical experience, and machining experience
• Ability to work under the observation and guidance of a qualified Machinist or Supervisor
• Cost awareness
• Inventory management / budget cost
