Amentum is seeking a Junior OT Integration & Cyber Technologist to join our team of passionate individuals in Chester, VA. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.As a Junior OT Integration & Cyber Technologist, you will play a key role in bridging operational technology (OT) systems with modern cybersecurity practices. You will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of industrial control systems while ensuring they are secure, resilient, and aligned with industry standards. Your work will directly contribute to the safe and reliable operation of critical infrastructure by improving system visibility, strengthening cyber defenses, and enabling secure integration with enterprise systems. This role gives you the opportunity to learn from senior engineers and gain hands-on experience across industrial networking, system integration, and cybersecurity domains.
Responsibilities:• Assist in the configuration and integration of Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), including firewalls, network switches, servers, IDS/SIEM platforms and backup and disaster recovery systems.• Support cybersecurity assessments and implementation of security controls aligned with NIST 800-82, ISA/IEC 62443, and other relevant frameworks.• Monitor OT/ICS environments for performance and security events, escalating issues as needed.• Contribute to the configuration and troubleshooting of industrial network devices, firewalls, and secure remote access solutions.• Document system configurations, network diagrams, and security baselines for project and operational reference.• Participate in backup, disaster recovery, and patch management processes for OT environments.• Collaborate with senior engineers to evaluate and implement new technologies that enhance system integration and cybersecurity posture.• Provide support during incident response activities and assist with forensic data collection when required.• Develop technical skills through active training and operational hands-on experienceRequirements:• Demonstratable experience with TCP/IP Networking• Demonstratable understanding and familiarity of Cisco network equipment• Demonstratable understanding and familiarity of Microsoft server operating systems• Demonstratable understanding and familiarity of firewall configuration
