MUSC Health Facilities / Maintenance - Job Training Program

The Painter Internship is designed for service members seeking employment in the private sector and is divided into the four segments as follows: 1) Orientation & Introduction to Paint Shop; 2) Core Maintenance Skills Development; 3) Specialized Training in Advanced Systems; and 4) Summary, Evaluation and Career Path Discussion.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Painter performs journeyman level master brush, roll, and spray painting of buildings, fixtures, and equipment; finishes drywall. May act as lead painter or assistant foreman. Contributes to a team effort and harmonious working relationship with others in Facilities Department and throughout MUSC. Maintains continuity between individual job assignments and work of others. Performs other related duties as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

• Monitors, maintains, adjusts, and repairs electrical distribution systems owned or leased by MUSC
• Ensures safety and reliability of emergency and normal power electrical systems
• Requires working knowledge of all electrical systems including Generators, ATS, MCC, Drives, Motors, Distribution Center, and Distribution Panels

QUALIFICATIONS✨

• Previous training and experience in the electrical field
• Knowledge of electrical systems including Generators, ATS, MCC, Drives, Motors, Distribution Center, and Distribution Panels
