As we expand our horizons into the military segment, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Intern to join our team and contribute to our growth in the defense industry.Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Business Development Intern with a focus on project-based initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing new ideas, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and collaborating closely with military stakeholders to move projects from concept to reality. The role offers a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on project development, gain real-world experience, and potentially transition into a full-time position upon successful completion of the internship.The company operates a full remote culture but many of our US colleagues live in or around Philadelphia.

ABOUT THE JOB

Key Responsibilities:- Research and identify potential clients and key decision-makers within the defense sector.- Assist in creating and executing targeted business development strategies to penetrate the military market.- Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify opportunities and trends in the defense industry.- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their requirements and proposing suitable solutions.- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop compelling pitches and presentations tailored to defense clients' needs.- Collaborate with internal teams to brainstorm, develop, and refine innovative ideas for defense engineering projects.- Lead the response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by coordinating with cross-functional teams, preparing compelling proposals, and ensuring timely submissions.- Support in organizing and participating in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to showcase our software solutions.- Stay informed about industry regulations, standards, and emerging technologies relevant to defense engineering processes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in business development and a passion for technology, especially in the defense sector.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn about defense industry dynamics and software solutions.
  • Previous experience in responding to RFPs and working on project-based initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with defense industry processes, standards, and stakeholders is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
