ABOUT THE JOB
As a Mechanic at Warehouse of Speed, you will perform the following job duties while maintaining a safe and clean work area:- Conduct inspections and keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, tire rotation and changes, and wheel balancing- Repair engine failures and drivetrain, mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, and body damage- Complete preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, tire rotation and changes, and wheel balancing- Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives while complying with state vehicle requirements, to include testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards- Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs- Contain costs by being objective, evaluating service and parts options- Stay on top of industry trends and job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publicationsThe Requirements- Thorough knowledge of the complexities of mechanical systems, care, and operation of internal combustion engines as well as electric hybrids, current repair methods, materials, and tools- Demonstrated ability to perform complex diagnostic repairs on all vehicle systems in order to determine appropriate maintenance and repairs – REQUIRED- Effectively use hand tools and automotive diagnostic equipment and interpret manufacturers’ specifications- Maintain cooperative working relationships while demonstrating respect for a diverse population
RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
- Thorough knowledge of the complexities of mechanical systems, care, and operation of internal combustion engines as well as electric hybrids
- Current repair methods, materials, and tools
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex diagnostic repairs on all vehicle systems in order to determine appropriate maintenance and repairs
