Join Aalo Atomics to kickstart your training and qualification as a Department of Energy (DOE) Reactor Operator. This opportunity will allow you to train with and learn from qualified personnel at Aalo, as you also qualify for the same job. You will also get the chance to take ownership of one of the many DOE mandated Safety Management Programs, allowing you to gain specific experience in a sector of DOE nuclear facility operation.
A Reactor Operator at Aalo Atomics is responsible for the safe, reliable operation of our state-of-the-art Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and its supporting systems. Operators monitor reactor parameters, manipulate controls during startup, power adjustments, and shutdown, and respond to off-normal or emergency conditions in strict accordance with approved procedures. This role requires strong technical aptitude, disciplined procedure use, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a highly regulated, team-oriented environment. Previous nuclear experience and knowledge is required for this role. Reactor Operators are on the front line of advanced nuclear innovation, ensuring the safe operation of next-generation reactor technology while protecting personnel, the public, and the facility.
Navy Nuke who must have completed Nuclear Field A-School, Nuclear Power School, and Nuclear Prototype, or Nuclear-trained Officers
