The 502nd Civil Engineer Group (CEG) manages Joint Base San Antonio’s infrastructure and resources, operates military housing and environment programs, and provides emergency management and explosives ordnance disposal services.The group manages one of the most diverse and complex infrastructure portfolios in the Department of Defense. Spread across multiple installations and operating bases, the 502nd Civil Engineer Group sustains all structural facilities encompassing more than 40,000,000 square feet of office space dispersed across more than 45,000 acres that forms JBSA.

ABOUT THE JOB

Performs planning and design work for substantial multi-phase new construction, renovations, and improvement projects for real property facilities, including utility systems, utilizing a professional knowledgeof civil engineering.Manages projects for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities and maintains surveillance over construction contractors utilizing a professional knowledge of civil engineering and knowledge of architecture and other engineering and disciplines to ensure overall compliance with contracted specifications, schedules, etc.Plans, programs, budgets, and executes required projects in support of assigned programs.Performs work in facilities operations and maintenance (O&M) functions.Provides consulting services and project coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs planning and design work for substantial multi-phase new construction, renovations, and improvement projects for real property facilities, including utility systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 yr degree in Engineering
  • Professional knowledge of civil engineering.
  • Knowledge of architecture and other engineering disciplines.
