Assistant Construction Superintendent

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will support the Construction Superintendent in overseeing daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Assist in coordinating and supervising construction activities, subcontractors, and on-site personnel. Help develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Support the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Collaborate with the project team to resolve issues and maintain project progress. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks. Assist in managing material deliveries, inventory, and equipment allocation. Prepare and maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other project documentation. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Support the Construction Superintendent in budget management and cost control measures.QualificationsMinimum Requirements: High School Diploma + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Work Environment: Individuals in construction field roles work primarily on active job sites where exposure to environmental and job-related hazards is common, with or without an accommodation. These environments may include proximity to heavy machinery, elevated work areas, airborne particles, varying weather conditions, and potential electrical risks. Noise levels may vary from moderate to high depending on the phase of construction. Employees may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and must remain alert to ensure safety. Additional duties may be assigned as needed based on the scope and progress of the project.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.3-5 years of experience in construction management or related field. OSHA 30-hour certification. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods. Excellent blueprint reading and construction scheduling skills. Experience in quality control processes and subcontractor management. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure. Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to job sites as needed.
