Hypertherm Technical Training Institute Department of Labor(DOL) Registered Apprenticeship Program
The objective of this SkillBridge opportunity is to teach transitioning service members how to become CNC Machine Operators. Successful completion of the program will result in a high probability of post service employment at Hypertherm Associates. The DOL approved apprenticeship program is 8 weeks in length with 4 weeks of classroom training and 4 weeks of lab/on the job training with experienced CNC Machine Operator Instructors. Upon full-time employment, there is a clear path to career progression opportunities.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a CNC Machine Operator, working with your team members, you will produce machined parts for our plasma cutting systems through machining, assembly, and packaging tasks in an assigned manufacturing area, using standard work instructions. You can contribute to our 100% Associate-owned company by participating in process improvement initiatives to reduce environmental impacts, enhance quality, reduce cost, and increase our shared profits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce machined parts for plasma cutting systems
- Perform machining, assembly, and packaging tasks in an assigned manufacturing area
- Follow standard work instructions

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to become a CNC Machine Operator
- Participation in an 8-week DOL approved apprenticeship program
