Charles Stark Draper Laboratory SkillBridge Program
The Senior CI, Insider Threat, Investigations will provide both investigative and functional support to enhance Draper’s CI and Insider Threat programs and to proactively protect its employees and resources. The successful candidate will collaborate across Draper’s security functions to conduct and/or manage Draper security’s internal and external investigations, including creating investigative plans, interviewing employees, identifying trends and corrective actions to mitigate vulnerabilities, and drafting investigative reports for internal and external consumers. This position will help Draper Security leadership manage incidents, while imparting mentorship and support to multidisciplined security officials providing incident first response, to ascertain all facts, coordinate information of evidentiary value, identify the potential for compromise or loss, and to communicate effectively across internal functions and with multiple external partners and sponsors. This position will empower a proactive, functional support to the Company and its sponsors in line with current strategies to provide awareness of potential threats while enhancing mutual communication with Draper employees to most effectively address threats, vulnerabilities, and gaps, while working to manage such risk. The role will be performed from our Cambridge, MA headquarters with support to all Draper sites. There will be some opportunities to travel and remote work will be available, but with readiness to respond in person, when mission requirements from time to time make personal interaction necessary. Responsibilities• Provide direct assistance in the strategic direction, development, and implementation of Draper’s CI, Insider Threat, and Investigations programs. • Conduct interviews, briefings, and debriefings for a cross section of employees to optimize security awareness and identify external and/or internal risk, and reporting internally and externally.• Evaluate Insider Threat, CI, and Incident Data to identify trends and methods of threats that can assist with refining processes, enhancing awareness, and establishing/implementing mitigation mechanisms.• Collaborate with HR, Legal, Cyber, and Information Security elements to uncover potential areas of risk, threat, and/or vulnerability.• Help to develop a network of relevant, external organizations and sponsors to share information and to help protect Company personnel, technology, and resources and national security. • Write, submit, track, and manage investigative reports, attachments, and case files, for internal and external dissemination and for future review and/or compliance. • Integrate with physical, personnel, industrial, and special security programs to manage potential gaps and collaborate on a variety of issues that could have CI, insider threat, and security significance.• Provide investigative input, analysis, and support to developing supply chain risk management inquiries and referrals.• Establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with external customers and program management.• Communicate and coordinate with the company’s matrix of working relationships to shape solutions. • Assist in the development of CI and/or Insider Threat briefings and/or products to provide tailored information to Draper leadership to understand relevant threats and actions to mitigate such threats.• Assist security as needed for inspections, events, and special activities.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree and possess at least 7 years of directly relevant CI experience.• Graduate of a relevant CI certification course, such as military department, defense, or national levels.• Experience leading investigations from initiation to conclusion, including leveraging training, technical and/or interpersonal skill to conduct interviews, collect evidence, analyze data, and handle sensitive materials.• Possess functional and defensive CI experience, to include conducting investigations, collections, inquiries, background checks, briefings, and debriefings.• Experience establishing, implementing, and executing CI and/or Insider Threat initiatives, programs, and briefings.• Enjoy a keen understanding of current and historic foreign intelligence and insider threat activities, and dynamics. • Possess ability and experience in building positive relationships across functions and organizations to create and maintain positive and collaborative work relationships. • Previous experience providing CI functional and investigative support to R&D organizations and and/or critical/sensitive programs is an advantage. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Word, Access, and Excel.• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communications skills.• This position requires an active, current, in scope Top Secret security clearance eligibility. SAP and/or SCI accesses and a CI polygraph may be required. Candidate must maintain clearance eligibility.
