Windy Ridge Rescue Employment
This program offers the opportunity to work hands on with one or more nonprofit animal rescues or shelters caring for cats and dogs with exposure to all aspects of the nonprofit to include animal care (regular and special needs), volunteer management, veterinarian assisting (if available), Trap Neuter & Return programs, fundraising, special events, social media and behind the scenes administrative actions to include medical records, purchasing, donation tracking, and community outreach and education.
ABOUT THE JOB
Any position in a boarding facility, animal shelter, and some positions in a veterinary clinic.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work hands-on with nonprofit animal rescues or shelters
- Care for cats and dogs, including those with special needs
- Assist in volunteer management
- Support veterinarian tasks if available
- Participate in Trap Neuter & Return programs
- Engage in fundraising and special events
- Manage social media and perform administrative tasks like medical records, purchasing, donation tracking
- Conduct community outreach and education
