The Academic and Student Affairs Assistant helps coordinate recruiting activities, student onboarding, orientation, course communications, and academic documentation while keeping the Office of Academic and Student Affairs organized, responsive, and student focused.
The Academic and Student Affairs Assistant supports the administrative and operational functions of UTSI’s recruiting, academic affairs, and student affairs activities. This position assists the UTSI Graduate and Professional Studies Recruiter by identifying recruiting opportunities, developing seasonal recruiting event schedules, coordinating event logistics, acquiring recruitment materials, maintaining inventory, attending events as needed, and managing recruiting-related expenses within the approved budget. The assistant maintains the recruiting databases, ensuring all candidates’ resumes and contact information are correctly archived and easily searchable. The role also supports the Office of Academic and Student Affairs through procurement card purchases, business expense coordination, candidate information management, email inquiry response, and general administrative support. Additional responsibilities include assisting with new student onboarding and Fall Orientation materials, serving as a backup exam proctor, supporting course announcement distribution, and helping collect and organize syllabi and documentation for new course proposals and approvals.
