As a Mechanical Design Engineer intern, you’ll be embedded in a high-impact engineering team focused on designing and developing innovative power transmission solutions. You’ll work directly with customers, internal teams, and supply chain partners to bring new products to life and improve existing systems. This role offers hands-on experience in mechanical design, problem-solving, and technical support, with exposure to cutting-edge tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Key Responsibilities:-Collaborate with customers to define product requirements and troubleshoot field issues.-Design, develop, and execute new mechanical products and systems.-Support continuous improvement initiatives in design and manufacturing.-Coordinate with internal teams to ensure manufacturability and design integrity.-Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.-Assist in technical sales, marketing content creation, and customer tours.-Promote a data-driven, customer-focused engineering culture.
Ideal Candidate Profile:-Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or associate’s degree with 2+ years of technical experience and strong mechanical aptitude.-5+ years of relevant experience preferred; equivalent military experience considered.-Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.-Familiarity with ERP systems and ISO 9001:2015 standards is a plus.-Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.Benefits Upon Hire:-Free medical and dental insurance (single and family plans) after 1 month-College Loan Forgiveness Program-401(k) and profit-sharing eligibility after 1 month-Eye insurance available at a low premium
