Warren CAT is an authorized SkillBridge partner offering an 8-week, full-time Heavy Equipment (Machine) Technician training program. Participants receive structured, supervised, hands-on training maintaining and repairing Caterpillar construction and earthmoving equipment in a professional service environment. This program prepares transitioning Service Members for entry-level heavy equipment technician careers supporting construction, infrastructure, energy, and industrial operations.
The Heavy Equipment Technician Trainee performs supervised preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and component service on Caterpillar machinery. Training includes exposure to hydraulic systems, mechanical components, electrical systems, undercarriage systems, and safe shop practices.Participants train approximately 40 hours per week alongside experienced senior technicians. Training emphasizes safety compliance, technical competency development, documentation accuracy, and professional workplace readiness.Successful completion may lead to consideration for full-time employment following military separation, based on performance and business needs.
