THIS POSITION IS REQUIRES THE PARTICIPANT TO BE IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA! TWO VACANCIES FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT! A member of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Region 2 team supports CISAs efforts to enhance the security, resiliency, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and physical infrastructure. Students will learn the centralized cybersecurity and infrastructure protection programs that support a diverse mission and workforce that spans CISA Region 2 (NY, NJ, PR, USVI).

ABOUT THE JOB

• The cyber workforce encompasses the skills required to build, secure, operate, defend, and protect technology, data, and resources; conduct related intelligence activities; enable future operations; and project power in or through cyberspace. The 111 All-Source Analyst work role falls in the Intel (Cyber) Skills Community, which requires skills to collect, process, analyze, and disseminate information from all sources of intelligence on foreign actors’ cyber programs, intentions, capabilities, research and development, and operational activities.• Per Standard Publication 800-181, a 111 All-Source Analyst analyzes data/information from one or multiple sources to conduct preparation of the environment, respond to requests for information, and submit intelligence collection and production requirements in support of planning and operations.• Core Major Duties Include:o Answer requests for information.o Maintain a common intelligence picture.o Brief threat and/or target current situations.o Conduct in-depth research and analysis.o Generate requests for information.o Identify threat tactics, and methodologies.o Monitor operational environment and report on adversarial activities which fulfill leadership’s priority information requirements.o Provide timely notice of imminent or hostile intentions or activities which may impact organization objectives, resources, or capabilities.• Leads basic, intermediate, and advanced analysis of data/information from one or multiple sources to conduct preparation of the environment, respond to requests for information, and submit intelligence collection and production requirements in support of planning and operations. Also advises senior government personnel on subjects that can include, but are not limited to analytic findings, future predictive analysis, and assessment of threats as appropriate. • The Incumbent analyzes data/information from one or multiple sources to conduct preparation of the environment, respond to requests for information, and submit intelligence collection and production requirements in support of planning and operations. Provides all-source analysis on information security issues through high-quality, polished written assessments, briefings, and engagements to understand cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, consequences to cyber infrastructure. • Provide evaluation and feedback necessary for improving intelligence production, intelligence reporting, collection requirements, and operations. Coordinates with Federal partners and, through field advisors, State, Local, Territorial, and Tribal partners on cyber intelligence and risk assessments to ensure accuracy and clarity. Participates in collaborative analytical and risk management efforts regarding threats and risks to critical infrastructure IT and OT systems with internal and external partners.• Assists in Identify and do researching various requirements, directives, intelligence databases, and various ancillary sources to gather and disseminate information supporting ongoing or emerging program or project requirements. Coordinates studies and evaluates analytical products, in collaboration with intelligence, law enforcement, and private sector partners. • Develops cyber indicators to maintain awareness of the status of the highly dynamic operating environment. Collects, processes, analyzes, and disseminates cyber threat/warning assessments. Supports regional incident support operations during critical cyber-related events. Using available tools, conducts trend analysis related to indicators of compromise and other threats and hazards. May brief executive level leaders, regional personnel, and stakeholders on intelligence information and risks to cyber/physical critical infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Secret clearance required.
  • Must have either operational or technical cyber experience, or equivalent education or certifications.
