Administrative Support Assistant
This is a Federal position with the Bureau of Reclamation is best known for the dams, powerplants, and canals it constructed in the 17 western states. These water projects led to homesteading and promoted the economic development of the West. Our 53 powerplants annually provide more than 40 billion kilowatt hours generating nearly a billion dollars in power revenues and produce enough electricity to serve 3.5 million homes. Trainees will gain insight into our organization, technical training in a position that supports our mission, and learn valuable knowledge as they transition from the service into the Federal workforce.
ABOUT THE JOB
Administrative Support Assistant is a versatile position that supports many aspects of the organization. Basic office functions and responsibilities include answering and directing phones; filing and retrieving documents; managing calendars and scheduling meetings; reviewing documents for grammar, spelling, and format; making travel arrangements and settling vouchers; using a purchase card; timekeeping and timecard review; and producing reports using microsoft office products.
