Agricultural Equipment Mechanic - Job Training Program - On the Job Training (OJT)

The Agricultural Equipment Mechanic at Seneca Foods is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling various types of agricultural and industrial equipment, including tractors, harvesters, conveyors, engines, and other field machinery. The mechanic ensures all machinery functions optimally for planting, harvesting, and processing operations. This position requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hydraulics and electronics, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Agricultural Equipment Mechanic at Seneca Foods is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling various types of agricultural and industrial equipment, including tractors, harvesters, conveyors, engines, and other field machinery. The mechanic ensures all machinery functions optimally for planting, harvesting, and processing operations. This position requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hydraulics and electronics, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Essential Functions, Responsibilities and Job Duties:• Responsible for the daily repair & maintenance of agriculture equipment for the location.• Maintain cost control over equipment for budget purposes• Responsible for maintaining an even, constant and sufficient flow of product that• meets or exceeds company standards during harvest season• Work in conjunction with Area Supervisors to maintain production & quality• Maintains proper housekeeping• Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed and enforced• Assist with maintenance in other areas of the facility when needed

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

QUALIFICATIONS✨

• Mechanical and trouble shooting skills.
• Record keeping skills for preventative maintenance.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Basic Mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and write the English language.
• High School Diploma.
