This program provides transitioning Service Members with structured civilian fixed-wing flight training from Private through Commercial Pilot certification. The program develops safe, professional pilots prepared for entry-level civilian aviation careers.Training includes ground and flight instruction in aircraft systems, aerodynamics, weather, navigation, flight planning, FAA regulations, and risk management. Flight training emphasizes aircraft control, normal and abnormal procedures, cross-country operations, airspace management, and commercial-level maneuvers in accordance with FAA standards.The program integrates professional aviation practices such as checklist discipline, crew resource management, performance planning, and scenario-based decision-making to bridge military experience with civilian aviation operations. Upon completion, participants are prepared to meet FAA practical test standards and transition into civilian aviation roles.
The Entry-Level Commercial Pilot supports flight operations by conducting safe, efficient, and professional fixed-wing aircraft operations in accordance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and industry best practices. This position is designed for newly certificated Commercial Pilots seeking to build experience in a structured operational environment and establish a pathway toward careers such as flight instruction, charter and Part 135 operations, aerial survey, patrol and utility flying, corporate aviation, and eventual airline operations as experience and regulatory minimums are met.
