ABOUT THE JOB

OCCUPATION:        FLOORHAND General Description of Occupation:The Floorhand is part of the crew that works on a service rig and is responsible for servicing oil and gas wells.  The duties of the Floorhand include assisting in rigging-up and rigging-down, running pipe and casing, and other functions specified by the customer or well operator.  All duties are to be performed according to standard operating procedures in order to maximize the safety of all personnel at the work site and to most efficiently perform the task.  The Floorhand may be required to work in the derricks or operate the rig if needed and qualified.Essential Functions of Job:Lift, operate, rig-up and down the components of the rig and other equipment used on the locationRequired to position, lift, attach, install and work with casing, drill pipe and associated well equipment such as pumps, swivels, catwalks, etcOperate tongs, elevators, and other related rig tools and equipmentPhysically load and unload pipe or other materials without the use of tools or hoist equipmentAssists in rigging up and down, lining up the well service rig with the wellSets hydraulic jacks, handles pads/boards and assists in attaching the guy wires to the anchorAssists in picking up or laying down tubing, manually lifting the tubing from the rack onto the work floor or vice versaReports any safety hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to the rig supervisorEnsures that work carried out is in compliance with company policies and procedures and according to safety regulationsWork on an elevated surface (tubing board) when neededPerforms other related duties as assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

• Assisting in rigging-up and rigging-down
• Running pipe and casing
• Operating tongs, elevators, and other related rig tools and equipment
• Physically loading and unloading pipe or other materials without the use of tools or hoist equipment
• Reporting any safety hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to the rig supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS✨

• Ability to lift, operate, rig-up and down the components of the rig and other equipment used on the location
• Ability to position, lift, attach, install and work with casing, drill pipe and associated well equipment such as pumps, swivels, catwalks, etc.
• Ability to work on an elevated surface (tubing board) when needed
