A Field Service Technician is responsible for performing on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of various technical maritime systems and equipment. This role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Ability to diagnose and repair complex electronics, reading manuals, and installing marine electrical equipment.• Perform basic to advance electrical troubleshooting.• Able to understand complex electrical schematics.• Basic knowledge of intrinsically safe devices (4-20mA current loops).• Perform routine servicing, inspections, and calibrations.• Perform full System Installations and Commissioning’s.• Assist or perform full cable installations including conduit installation, cable pulls, pipe bending and threading and wire terminations.• Perform full vessel surveys for system upgrades or retrofits.• Experience with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and loop calibrators to ensure complete troubleshooting aspects.• Able to modify PLC programs and understand flow of programming.• Able to properly use ohmmeters, voltmeters, and loop calibrators.• Able to use Microsoft Office.• Basic computer networking.• Basic knowledge of MODBUS TCP/IP and RTU Communications.• Able to work out in the field with minimal assistance from Supervisor.• 5-10 years of marine electrical or electrical experience.

This role requires occasional travel to customer locations, estimated at approximately 50-60% of working time, once trained. Travel destinations primarily include domestic locations, with occasional international trips, once fully trained. Trips typically last 2-3 days and up to 2 weeks, and the company provides travel allowances. **INTERNSHIP IS OPEN TO NATIONWIDE
