ABOUT THE JOB

The Teacher Intern supports classroom instruction in an Anchorage School District classroom under the supervision of a certified mentor teacher while completing American Board coursework and Alaska teacher certification preparation. The program integrates Professional Teaching Knowledge (PTK) coursework with supervised classroom practice aligned to Alaska Teacher Content Standards. The purpose of the program is to prepare transitioning service members for entry into full-time teaching positions upon separation from military service.

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

• Supports classroom instruction in an Anchorage School District classroom
• Works under the supervision of a certified mentor teacher
• Completes American Board coursework and Alaska teacher certification preparation
• Integrates Professional Teaching Knowledge (PTK) coursework with supervised classroom practice aligned to Alaska Teacher Content Standards

QUALIFICATIONS✨
