Project Engineer- Job Training Program - In-Person

Schimenti’s DoW SkillBridge Program connects transitioning service members to career training opportunities within our organization. We will provide service members with valuable civilian work experience through Construction industry-specific training, and on the job experience during their DoW Skillbridge Program to help ready themselves for their next opportunity. Schimenti aims to attract and retain military veteran talent and to help bridge the gap between their military service and civilian careers within our organization. ABOUT THE JOB

Project start-up: complete new project updates in Procore system, distribute initial drawings and plans to all required team members, assist Project Manager with insurance and permits as needed, send Superintendent Field team toolkitsSchedule calls and meetings with internal and external project team members to ensure consistent communication flow throughout the duration of a projectAssists with buyout processReview, process, and distribute submittals via ProcoreCreate and distribute weekly reports as requested by Project ManagerProcess and maintain RFIs in Procore or similar systemPrepare, process, and distribute subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and change ordersAssist in preparation of closeout package process:  collect documentation from subcontractors, vendors, architects, clients, and members of the internal project teamOther job responsibilities as assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

• Complete new project updates in Procore system, distribute initial drawings and plans to all required team members.
• Assist Project Manager with insurance and permits as needed, send Superintendent Field team toolkits.
• Schedule calls and meetings with internal and external project team members to ensure consistent communication flow throughout the duration of a project.
• Assist with buyout process, review, process, and distribute submittals via Procore.
• Create and distribute weekly reports as requested by Project Manager, process and maintain RFIs in Procore or similar system.
• Prepare, process, and distribute subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Assist in preparation of closeout package process: collect documentation from subcontractors, vendors, architects, clients, and members of the internal project team.

QUALIFICATIONS✨

• Military veteran or transitioning service member.
• Interest or background in the construction industry.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
