Research Analyst/Research & Analysis Division/TSC

As a SkillBridge Research Analyst, you will support the Ted Steven's Center's mission by conducting strategic research on Arctic security, geopolitics, and regional dynamics.

ABOUT THE JOB

Responsibilities include analyzing policy developments, contributing to white papers and strategic assesments, and supporting engagment initiatives with interagency and international partners. The role provides hands-on experience in Arctic-focused security studies, defense policy, and research methodologies, preparing transitioning service members for careers in national security, policy analysis, or academic research.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzing policy developments
• Contributing to white papers and strategic assessments
• Supporting engagement initiatives with interagency and international partners

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Research experience in military intelligence, operations research, or other analytical backgrounds
