Drill Rig Operator Helper
This is a Federal position with the Bureau of Reclamation is best known for the dams, powerplants, and canals it constructed in the 17 western states. These water projects led to homesteading and promoted the economic development of the West. Our 53 powerplants annually provide more than 40 billion kilowatt hours generating nearly a billion dollars in power revenues and produce enough electricity to serve 3.5 million homes. Trainees will gain insight into our organization, technical training in a position that supports our mission, and learn valuable knowledge as they transition from the service into the Federal workforce.
ABOUT THE JOB
Drill Rig Operator supports engineering and construction geology and hydrology exploration throughout the Missouri Basin Region. Assists with drill rig setup, operation, and maintenance in both field and warehouse environments. Provides supports for drilling activities and high-pressure drain cleaning around active rigs and construction equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Obtaining a CDL is required for career progression.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
The career path for this position requires obtaining a CDL. If hired after the internship, this certificate training will be provided.
