Hill AFB Fire & Emergency Services Firefighter Training
***Need Basic National Registry Emergency Medical Technician(NREMT)***This program provides the classes, skills, and on-the-job training for testing to certify in Firefighter I&II, Hazardous Materials Operations, and Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting. These certifications combined with NREMT(not provided) will qualify the candidate to be hired in various 0081 job series positions in the federal fire service or numerous civilian firefighting jobs.
ABOUT THE JOB
Participating in this Skillbridge you will respond to structure fires, operate hydrants, perform ladder operations, and operate extinguishing equipment. Additionally, you will respond to medical emergencies and provide treatment for victims of fire, acute illness, traumatic injuries, flightline/industrial accidents, aircraft emergencies and other events requiring medical intervention. Lastly, you will detect the presence of potentially hazardous materials to maintain containment and control.
RESPONSIBILITIES
