CameronBrooks Development and Preparation Program
The Cameron-Brooks Development and Preparation Program prepares the SkillBridge participant for a transition to a leadership development career in business. This includes utilizing our Development and Preparation Program along with the opportunity to conduct a career search. Our SkillBridge culminates with a Career Conference where JMOs have approximately eight to ten opportunities to interview.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Cameron-Brooks Development and Preparation Program is specifically designed for JMOs to provide the skills and education necessary to gain meaningful employment post-military service. The program consists of a curated reaching program of ten books, a self-assessment of strengths and weaknesses, a leadership assessment, an interviewing course, interview skills workshops, resume consultation and creation, and unlimited mock interviews. The JMOs have frequent career coaching conversations via the phone, video, and in person with experienced Career Transition Coaches. The training and development phase culminates with a four-day virtual Career Conference, the SkillBridge participant will have the opportunity to conduct follow-up interviews with companies and earn employment offers. The program’s objective is to help the JMO conduct a career search and earn offers in a business leadership development role. Those who complete the program will receive ongoing and unlimited career coaching throughout their post-military career.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in a curated reading program of ten books
- Complete self-assessment of strengths and weaknesses
- Undergo a leadership assessment
- Attend an interviewing course and interview skills workshops
- Receive resume consultation and creation
- Engage in unlimited mock interviews
- Have frequent career coaching conversations via phone, video, and in person
- Attend a four-day virtual Career Conference
- Conduct follow-up interviews with companies
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a Junior Military Officer (JMO)
