Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Defense
The SkillBridge tour member will be trained as a member of the West Coast Chemical, Biological, Radiological Defense (CBRD) Readiness Assist Visit (RAV) team member (Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Defense Technician) and will learn how to: 1. Schedule RAVs, conduct shipboard assessments, generate reports, and provide technical support for ships, 2. Conduct ship surveys and communicate data to relevant Acquisition Engineering Agents (AEA) or In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA),3. Conduct Regional Maintenance & Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO) check-in/out processes, 4. Serve as a Radiation Mobile Survey and Radiation Team (RMSRT) representative, and 5. Analyze radiological survey data, complete audit reports, and provide contamination training when needed.
ABOUT THE JOB
The SkillBridge tour member will have the:1. Ability to review technical documents and analyze technical data to make recommendations for equipment improvements and diagnose required repairs, and 2. Ability to liaise with technical experts to determine solutions to fleet CBRD concerns and to troubleshoot technical issues
RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel within CONUS to US military bases; able to work shipboard and on land-based systems
- Ability to carry tools, parts, and test equipment
- Ability to wear all Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Currently holds a secret security clearance or higher
- Must be a US citizen
