This program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in residential construction site management, preparing them for a Construction Superintendent role. The participant will gain experience in:• Jobsite supervision • Contractor coordination • Safety compliance • Scheduling and inspections • Quality control • Project Management
By the end of this program, the participant will be able to:• Manage daily residential construction operations • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers • Enforce safety standards and jobsite compliance • Read and interpret blueprints and plans • Monitor project timelines and budgets • Conduct inspections and ensure quality control• Improve communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
Applicants should possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work in active residential construction environments. Basic computer proficiency, dependable transportation, and the ability to read and interpret construction-related documents are preferred. Applicants must be capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions and following OSHA safety standards. Military experience in leadership, logistics, engineering, operations, construction, maintenance, or project coordination is preferred but not required.

Training occurs at active residential construction job sites in or around the Houston, Texas disaster recovery areas with rotating project locations and hands-on field supervision.
