A SIGINT Analyst examines foreign communications and activities, utilizing specialized equipment, software, and techniques to extract, analyze, and interpret electronic signals, ultimately producing intelligence reports to support national security and military operations.
The applicant will receive training in basic SIGINT principles, complete online computer-based training and/or in-person platform-taught coursework, receive all required computer accounts, familiarization/acclimatization with local mission objectives, tasking/resources, collection, externals/internals signal analysis, demodulation & processing techniques, data fielding & interpretation, and reporting/dissemination procedures. Following completion of training, the applicant will be integrated into the team with duties as assigned by their trainer(s) and mission leads.Upon completion of the training program and on-the-job (OJT) training, the applicant will be skilled in several aspects of signals analysis core competencies, to include: ability to perform research, analysis, and reporting on unprocessed/unreported technical SIGINT intelligence, work independently and within a team to analyze technical information and execute complex intelligence operations, gain invaluable experience with advanced SIGINT analysis techniques, gain familiarity with latest generation of SIGINT analysis tools, and understand dynamic relationships and partnerships within the US SIGINT System (USSS) and the IC.
