The H&SC will also develop the skills to perform a variety of technical tasks such as conducting assessments using specific instrumentation, sampling for hazards and environmental stressors, working with EHS laboratories to properly collect and submit samples, and how to read and interpret the data collected. Such skills will be used to determine if hazards exist and when assessing the level of “exposure” the workers or public may have to a specific known hazard. The H&SC will begin to develop the skills required to conduct regulatory-specific training to inform workers of Safety Requirements, how to work safely and how to protect themselves from the workplace-specific hazards.
